The Trick Your Grocery Store Uses To Overcharge You!

The Trick Your Grocery Store Uses To Overcharge You!
There is nothing special about me, I am a mom of two kids and I have
a job as a cashier at my local supermarket. Like most Americans I am
struggling very much to make ends meet as the prices of almost
everything is going up on a daily basis. I really don’t trust
anything that I don’t see with my own two eyes. This is why when I
saw a television show for the programs at
https://unitedstatesdiscounts.com I really didn’t even pay attention.
But soon after that I started paying attention at work and watching
what people were paying for their groceries, by the way the
management at my store told us that grocery prices will be going up
another 45% across the board by this July. I had two customers that
checked out with practically the same items: 2 meats, milk, orange
juice, baby food and cereal one woman paid $ 47.16 and the other lady
paid $ 10.09. It turns out that the second lady is part of this
program. Over the following three weeks whenever I saw a person
getting an unusual amount of items for almost nothing I would inquire
how they did it. In almost every case the people were part of this
program at https://unitedstatesdiscounts.com Then three weeks ago a
woman was on my line with an overflowing cart of groceries, meds,
toiletries, etc and only had to pay $ 26.63 well that was enough for
me. I signed up that day for this company’s sampler which actually
has given me similar savings on so much more than just what you find
at your supermarket. I am really angry with myself when I think of
all the money I have thrown away by not signing up for this program
last year when I saw the television show for it.

Watch out for Viruses from the Gadgets!

The Los Angeles Times has an interesting story on how many gadgets available at stores have been infected with viruses and how it is imperative to have the latest virus protections. These devices can range from ipods, navigation systems, mp3 players, basically anything you can plug into your computer usually through a USB or FireWire port.

https://www.latimes.com/technology/la-fi-virus14mar14,1,2523743.story

Apparently some Chinese factories are being compromised and viruses are being loaded. Spyware is also being loaded which can do everything from disable your computer to steal your passwords and watch everything you do on your computer.

Sams club recently removed from shelves digital picture frames that came installed with a virus. The article mentions a recent purchase from Target of a digital picture frame loaded with viruses. In some cases these viruses appear to be very serious and in some you are ok as long as you have the latest updates of your virus protection.

Read the story and let us know what you think.

Joost Live Interviews

Some of the content that is playing on Joost Live on the Explorer Channel.

Right now Andrew Mulholland is being interviewed. He runs the Operations Team.
He doesn’t have a typical day, doing a lot of migrations. Moving data from data center to data center. Lots of meetings.
His role with LIVE. They will have lots of people on LIVE, more than the number online now. One of the biggest challenges he has had since. Building out the transcoding storage facility was one of the largest, talking about petabytes of storage. He is excited to watch sports. Football(soccer), rugby.

Joost Live

Joost is launching Joost LIVE! They hope to have all the testing done and launch for March Madness.

It’s all about LIVE. Yahoo and Google YouTube are getting into the space in a big way as well. Look for other major entrants into the space.

I saw a short segment interview with Mike Volpi and he talked about live events and using the existing Joost platform. How he wants to get a few bands/musicians to perform. As you know many of the folks at Joost came from MTV, so they have lots of connections.

Help Joost Test LIVE
We’re beginning a new experiment to bring Joost’s P2P video streaming live – we’ve done some internal and semi-private tests so far, but in order to offer a stable live service in the future, we need your help.
Our first public test will be today, Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. EDT, 6 p.m. GMT.
Want to try this new technology? Here’s what you need to do.
1. Go to Joost.com and download the newest version of Joost. Install it.
2. At 2 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. PDT, 6 p.m. GMT, 7 p.m. CET), start Joost, and go to the Joost LIVE Test category. Launch the Leiden LIVE P2P channel.
3. Start watching. (If you want, go to My Joost -> Channel Chat to see who else is watching with you.)
Curious about what you’ll be watching?
It’ll be a bunch of behind-the-scenes interviews with some of the people who are making the Joost LIVE Test possible.
We expect (and kind of hope) things will go wrong … but that’s the only way we’ll find out where the problems are. When you’re testing any new technology, especially one as complex as live P2P streaming, you expect a number of failures, but in order to get a product or service that works seamlessly, you have to break it first in order to find all the bugs and troubleshoot effectively.
This is phase 1 of our test: next week, we’ll begin the Joost LIVE Test with March Madness (but we’d really like you to come to this test first). Sign up now to receive game day alerts!
Thanks for helping us with the Joost LIVE Test!

The New Marketing Ecosystem poster from mullen

Major kudos to the folks at mullen for coming up with a chart poster that shows all the components of the marketing. I received mine with Advertising Age.

I’ll take a picture and post it here. It has to be one of the best I have seen. All marketers should be following. It’s a roadmap.
