Another Rate Increase from Charter Spectrum Price for Internet Service Up To $74.99

If it wasn’t bad enough with the pandemic Spectrum Charter is going to pile on another rate increase to internet only customers or those with streaming service bundled. Doesn’t matter what speed.

Charter Spectrum is raising prices on internet service by $5 a month starting in December, making most internet-only customers pay $74.99 a month for the basic speed service, in most areas now at 200 down and 10up.

Customers will be notified on their November 2020 , with price increases going into effect starting Dec. 2, 2020.

It is really a shame that AT&T cannot roll out their fiber service to more areas and compete with Spectrum more aggressively. Our best bet is to watch as Verizon and others roll out 5G and really put pressure on Spectrum Charter.

Meanwhile Charter Spectrum stock is trading at $644 per share up.
In addition watch for your billing end date, as Spectrum Charter is notorious about deceptive billing practices forcing you to pay even if you cancel your service for the bill cycle, which is ridiculous.
Why would you have to pay for service you are cancelling.
It’s yet another way that Spectrum Charter can charge customers.

A side not from some who have called to cancel, and been offered a reduced rate locked in.

Currently, new customers can order internet only for $49.99 for 12 months. But if you select the offers you get the $44.99 price for 2 years.
400Mbps is $64.99 for 24 months.
Gig is $104.99 for 24 months.

Meanwhile if AT&T was offering the service for $45 for 12 months for 1 Gig.

2020 Election Trump vs Biden

If you haven’t voted yet, please get out and vote, one of the important aspects of voting is understanding what you are voting for.

From the top who will be President of the US, to who will be your mayor to measures and propositions.

Many are discouraged by the popular vote not counting, and electoral college determining the election.  These are valid concerns. One thing for sure, is that if we want change we have to vote.

The past 3 1/2 years have been full of confusion illusions malicious divisive actions by many in this country, led by the actions of the President.  The lies by some who are counting are over 22,500+ which is incredible.

The deception continues on election day, that people going to vote could be swayed by what Donald Trump says.

We are in trying difficult and unchartered times.

Zoom Tax Notification Email Notice from Zoom
Header Logo Sign In
Dear Valued Customer,

We are contacting you to inform you of some California county and local transactional tax changes that may impact you. These tax changes described below are expected to go into effect on or shortly after November 1, 2020.

Like many technology companies, Zoom is routinely evaluating its tax collection and remittance obligations. The application of these taxes to businesses like Zoom that offer new types of technologies is a complex and evolving area.

Zoom continues to review the products and services we sell, as well as the nature and extent of its activities in different jurisdictions. Based on such reviews, Zoom will implement tax changes from time to time to stay compliant with all government regulatory and tax requirements.

As a result of a recent review, Zoom will begin collecting the California Utility User Tax (UUT) and Communication User Tax (CUT) in applicable counties and cities within California. These taxes are levied on all residential and business customers for the purchase of services that include communication services where the sold to address is within one of the 150+ cities and counties that impose a UUT or CUT.

The definition of communication services subject to these taxes has been expanded as technologies evolve to include most services sold by Zoom. Zoom has reviewed the UUT and CUT requirements and determined that these taxes should be charged to our customers on the sales of Zoom Phone services and most conferencing services.

The tax rate imposed on communication services differs from city to city and will range from 0.5% to 11%. California does not provide for any tax exemption that a customer can claim specifically against these taxes unless they can demonstrate that the imposition of the taxes would be in violation of a federal or state statute, the Constitution of the United States, or the Constitution of the State of California.

If you have any questions regarding this tax change, please submit a support ticket to Zoom here and we will get back to you.
