Nite On The Town – Our First Vacation Getaway Deal – WINE, DINE & UNWIND IN LUXURY

Sharing this from David Luna from Nite On The Town:

WINE, DINE & UNWIND IN LUXURY

Hi Folks:

I’ve always wanted to add vacation deals to Nite On The Town –
specifically deals on vacation getaways within an easy drive from
Pasadena. We are lucky to live within close proximity to so many great
vacation destinations and for years, my wife and I have enjoyed
wonderful getaways at charming B&B’s and small inns from San Diego to
Monterey. Now, thanks to a collaboration with our friends at Go Daily
Deals, we have a way to offer you vacation deals. The link below is to
our first – a two night stay at Villa Valdemosa in Paso Robles.

We first visited Paso Robles about seven years ago and fell in love
with the area. It’s spectacularly beautiful country, home to countless
vineyards and in Paso Robles itself, we discovered a charmingly rustic
town with a vibrant restaurant scene. On one of our visits, we
discovered the ideal place to stay – Villa Valdemosa – a Tuscan style
villa set majestically atop ten hilltop acres, offering stunning
views, beautiful sunsets and the most incredibly star filled, night
time skies, that I have ever seen. This deal is for the Portofino suite
– one of the Villa’s most luxurious. Relax on your private deck with a
glass of wine and take in all the visual splendor. Each morning,
you’ll enjoy a complimentary gourmet breakfast prepared by owner/chef
Tom Rigby. Then off you go to enjoy everything the Paso Robles wine
country has to offer. All this for approximately the same cost as a
two night stay at a Hampton or Days Inns. Trust me, there’s no
comparison.

Bon appetit and (finally) bon voyage
David

Below is your link to the Villa Valdemosa getaway deal. (THIS DEAL IS
VALID FOR RESERVATIONS MADE UP TO
6 MONTHS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE)

Google Music Magnifier

Welcome To Magnifier

Wondering what Magnifier is? Well, when I was in junior high school, I had a friend whose older cousin lived in England, and that cousin would always send my friend great new records we usually knew nothing about, except that if the cousin liked them there was a very good chance we would, too. That’s how we first heard the Clash’s debut LP, Closer by Joy Division, and countless other albums I still treasure today.

So, Magnifier is basically Music Beta’s cousin who lives in England, except that we don’t actually live in England, and you don’t have to wait weeks for new packages to arrive via air mail. Because we’ll bring you new free music each and every day. Sometimes it will be songs you haven’t heard of by artists you have. Sometimes it will be new artists we think deserve more attention. And sometimes there will be video interviews and live performances. But you can always count on the following:

  • You can add any or all of the songs to your Music Beta library instantly
  • You can do this for free
  • The artist is being featured because someone on our team thinks they’re pretty great

We hope you enjoy browsing through all these free songs and videos as much as we enjoy bringing them to you. — Tim Quirk, Head of Music Programming

Open Letter To President Barack Obama (LM)

Sometimes we like to share letters written by some of our friends and readers. Here’s a letter written to President Barack Obama:

July 14, 2011

President Obama,

The middle class and working class has struggled for nearly a decade.

Last year, I removed my retirement account out of circulation from the stock market as a protest to Wall Streets corporate assault on the middle and working class. If you and Wall Street would like these funds reinvested, please fulfill the as promised pledges:

1. Restore Habeas Corpus
2. Close down Guantanamo Bay
3. Repeal: Citizens United vs. FEC.
4. Mandate an Executive Order to reduce fossil fuel use by 30%
5. No war with Iran…ever.
6. Remove troops, halt drone attacks, cease torture, close secret prisons and stop
occupation in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.
7. Reduce by 50% all military funding including international allocations and
sponsorship programs.
8. Implement financial reform policies and require transparency.
9. Hold the FCC accountable to enforce truth, ethics and standards in the media
10. Investigate and try tax-paid-bailed-out Wall Street executives for crimes against
America and the world.
11. Legislate corporations to pay its fair share of taxes

Standing up to injustice is a virtue that embodies the American spirit.

Respectfully,

LM

Sen. Feinstein
Rep: Adam Schiff

Chipotle Encino Review

Chipotle Encino Review

16350-A Ventura Blvd
Encino, CA 91436
(818) 808-0816

Last night I went to Chipotle in Encino to pickup an order that had been placed over the phone by my wife.

I arrived at about 6:15 when the order was schedule to be ready.

I walked up to the register and gave them my name, they checked and I paid. I was given my order in a bag.

1. Chips and salsa missing

2. small burritos, chicken meat not much, too much rice. quesadilla style and not done. rice was even crunchy and the food was not even hot.

3. Burritos missing cheese

4. No napkins or forks included in the bag

5. The salads looked very sparse, not very full.

I’ve been to other locations and they are more generous with the servings, not afraid to give customers good value for their money.

For the $40 for the food, I was not pleased or impressed.

So over all I would rate this Chipotle a 6 out of 10.

I was not impressed with the quality.
