You may have read or heard, Elements Cafe location on Fair Oaks will be closing and moving into the Elements Kitchen location on El Molino, next to the Playhouse.
The Cafe will move on July 31, 2011. The Elements Kitchen will offer some of the menu items previously available at the Cafe, in addition expect some price adjustments(lower), and some new offerings.
We are very excited to see this move as there will be more focus on the Elements Kitchen location, which is great. Two locations means double the overhead.

3 Die in Plunge off Vernal Falls – Yosemite, California Accident
Tuesday July 19, 2011 a group hiked up to to Vernal Falls
Was this really an accident or was it intentional disregard for all the warning signs placed. Going over the guard rails is like committing suicide.
The three Ninos Yacoub, 27, Hormiz David, 22, and Ramina Badal, 21 where on a day trip from Central California with a church group and family.
The names:
Ninos Yacoub, 27, of Turlock,
Hormiz David, 22, of Modesto
Ramina Badal, 21, of Manteca.
The three disobeyed the signs that clearly warned against going around the guardrails. In addition it is reported that people that saw them go around the rail pleaded with them to not go that it was dangerous, apparently first one went into the water and then another went and the two got swept in and the third tried to go in after them to save them and within seconds the three went over and fell to their deaths.

Several have gone there before and did not survive the over 300′ fall. We hope that some good will come from this accident, bringing greater awareness of the dangers of disobeying the posted signs.
I’ve been to the top of Vernal Falls in Yosemite and clearly saw the signs that this was not a place to be getting too close to the edge even behind the guardrail. The force of the hundreds of gallons of water per second that rush over the edge is an amazing sight.
The year I went with my brother and cousin we hiked further upstream from the falls about half a mile or so to an area where it was calm and there was still water, a protected area, you could still see the raging water off in the distance, but it was pretty calm a few feet in. Just enough to get in the water and cool off. But maybe that is risky.

VidCon is a yearly conference for people who love online video. This year VidCon is from July 28th to the 30th. It’s basically a chance for people in this new world to get together to have a good time, learn stuff, hang out, and help online video get bigger and better. Who’s gonna be there? The biggest stars in online video? Yup. The people who watch and love these new creations? Of course. Businesses and individuals who are part of the online video industry? Yes. The next generation of online video makers? We sure hope so.
You can read more about how the conference is structured on our Programming page, but it basically breaks down into talks, concerts, classes, panels and more. We also have two separate tracks.
The Community Track starts on Friday and contains all conference events from then on. It gives you access to all signings, concerts, panels, talks, interviews, and more on Friday and Saturday.
The Industry Track features all of the parties, talks and demonstrations of the community track, but with an extra day, Thursday, to discuss the business-side of online video entertainment.
VidCon was created by John and Hank Green, better known as the Vlogbrothers. While they weren’t quite in the first wave of online video creators, they’ve been doing it for a long time. Throughout it all, they were most fascinated by the power and size of the communities popping up around online video projects, and after doing lots of impromptu gatherings around the world, they realized something bigger and more organized needed to be done, and that’s where VidCon came from.
Where did VidCon come from?
VidCon was started by Hank and John Green with the help of Mischief Management Services because they freaking love online video and the communities it has created. They wanted to give online video a real-world home once a year.
