Icelandic volcano shuts down European airspace
Ash clouds from a spewing volcano in Iceland has halted air traffic across Europe. A British Airlines BAA spokesman said that no further flights are expected to depart or arrive.

The Ash is spreading from Iceland to most of Europe. The ash is in the 20, 000 to 36, 000 feet range, which is directly in the flight path of air traffic.
Thousands of flights affected.
Microscopic particles. Could shut down engines. How long could the delays last? Not known.
