Just received this notice from CJ/Commission Junction regarding the tax reporting for 2008. Apparently CJ did not include December 2008 in their 1099 form sent to publishers. Not sure how many publishers are affected, but I imagine it must be all publishers.

Dear Valued Publisher,

We just discovered that your IRS Form 1099 for 2008 did not include amounts for the month of December. Consequently, your corrected Form 1099 which includes all 2008 payments made for services rendered by you will be sent to you in the mail no later than February 24th.

If you have already filed your 2008 tax return, we suggest contacting the IRS directly or your tax preparer to discuss whether an amended tax return is necessary. Please be aware that this is not tax or legal advice.
