Survey on Old Pasadena Parking

Dear Community Member,

We received this request from the USC School of Public Policy. Please see below for more details.

We are looking at how all of the Parking Division’s policies affect businesses in Old Town. We would like to send out a short survey to gather resident’s input on the current parking policies in the city. This is a great opportunity for residents to offer suggestions to the parking division!

I would greatly appreciate if you could share the survey link below to the members of your neighborhood association:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CVSN3DQ

Thank you in advance for your help!

Sincerely,
Sarah Shapiro

Big Data: Today’s Supernova of Information and Opportunity @CaltechEntForum

Big Data: Today’s Supernova of Information and Opportunity

Big Data has exploded and engulfed us all and has led to a technology and business revolution.  Every website, email, SMS text, mouse click, download, Internet of Things (IoT), sensors and online purchase generates data, a lot of data. This data is being assembled into massive data sets and used by scientists, researchers, business and the government to develop new products, predict epidemics, calculate risk, understand consumer behavior and formulate public policies. Entrepreneurs are pursuing these Big Data opportunities in what is becoming the 21st  century equivalent of the gold rush.

Our speakers will share their views on the opportunities and challenges science and entrepreneurs face in building Big Data ventures, and give a clearer view of what’s coming our way.

Keynote Speaker:

Gil Elbaz, Founder & CEO of Factual Inc; Co-Founder of Applied Semantics

Confirmed Speakers:

Professor George Djorgovski, Director, The Center for Data Driven Discovery; Professor of Astronomy, Caltech

Marty Ellingsworth, President, Salt Creek Analytics

Dr. Corey Thibeault, Director of Data Science, Neural Analytics

Other speakers include Big Data entrepreneurs and funders/venture capitalists.

Producer/Moderator:

Stan Tomsic, Managing Director, Magna Point Group
