I’ve updated this post. Thanks for all the tweets and links. I hope this will help many of you looking to do affiliate marketing and be somewhat successful.
Tip #1 – Pitfall – Challenge #1
Here’s some advice for those of you looking to do affiliate marketing.
The tip for today is be sure to establish some sort of communication with the affiliate manager, here’s something that I see happening way to often.
You signup for a program, you put a few links on your sites, some banners, you try to drive some traffic for the advertiser and their offer, you send a few clicks and impressions, then the affiliate manager decides to terminate your relationship and although you had only worked to send a few clicks, the creative is still up and you spent the time to drive traffic. Your site then either has bad links or is sending traffic to an advertiser and you get NO credit.
Kind of sucks? yes it does, this is why it is important to join programs you feel out and research and not just every program. Develop a relationship with the affiliate manager if possible. Many affiliate managers are too busy to correspond with each publisher, they do pay(or they should be, at least the good ones) special attention to those who drive traffic.
The big networks encourage purging and terminating low performing affiliates to raise advertiser rankings.

The 59th episode of Miss USA 2010 contest was held at Theater for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on May 16 2010.
Chet Buchanan and Kriston Dalten hosted the show and was co-hosted by Australian Celebrity Chef Curtis Stone and Today Show’s correspondent Natalie Morales. Color Commentary was given by Joan and Melissa and the famous music star Trace Adkins performed during gown competition. Pop rock band “Boys like Girls” performed during swim suit competition.
Contestants from 50 different states participated and out of which Rima Fakih of Michigan won the title. Kriston Dalten crowned her Junior at the end of the event. Rema Fakih will be representing United States and particpate in Miss Universe 2010.
Billie Causieestko, Chip Lightman, Colleen Grillo, Guy McCarter, Leigh Rossini, Rich Thurber, Scott Lochmus were the preliminery Judges where as Two Time Olympic Medalist Carmelo Anthony, Miss USA 2006 Tarah Corner, The food Network Paula Deen, The Ofice Oscar Nunez, American businessman and real estate mogul Phil Ruffin, Glamours Suze Yalof-Schwart, Three-time National Champion figure skater and Olympian Johhny Wier and Melania Trump were the final Judges.

Mojo In The Morning producers have been contacted by representatives of Miss Universe requesting more photographs and information regarding Miss USA Rimah Fakih’s involvement in the “Stripper 101” contest. When asked if Fakih’s status as Miss USA was in danger, pageant representatives would not answer.
Morning show host Mojo says the controversial photographs were taken from our website where they have been posted for three years. He said Mojo In The Morning will not release any further photographs and hopes that Donald Trump does not ask Fakih to relinquish her crown. “It would be foolish to consider anyone other than Rima to represent the USA. The photos taken from our website are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA website.”

After approximately a month the Sunday PDMarket Farmer’s Market located near Hill and Washington on Sundays from 4-7 has ceased. The organizer is looking for a new location to relaunch.
There’s a few locations in Pasadena, but the problem is that there are four farmer’s markets already scheduled and running in Pasadena. To compete with those is quite a challenge. Probably a market in some part of Altadena could do well. But it is hit and miss, Sunday late afternoon/evening is a challenging day to hold a market. Especially after a very successful market held on Saturdays at the Pasadena High School Parking lot.
We are left with a few markets now.
