Join us Saturday November 15 (10am – 2pm) for Wonderful Water: A Neighborhood Festival at The Farmer’s Yard in NW Pasadena. Artists, scientists, gardeners, naturalists, musicians and poets will inspire and challenge us to consider the life-sustaining importance of water.
Children’s activities include:
* make a worm tunnel for the garden
* fish art
* see tiny river creatures under a microscope!
* spoken word workshop w/ Kenyan poet Minda Magero
* story hour with Cheryl Hubbard
* water on Mars with JPL Scientist Bonnie J. Buratti
* Kids’ costume parade of “river creatures”

For everyone, topics include:
* The Friends of the LA River’s Rover Trailer
* The Arroyo Seco Foundation on river restoration
* Aquaponics with Scott Henley of Whisper Farms
* Edible CA native plants with Nicholas Hummingbird
* Water reclamation for gardens, Leigh Adams, LA County Arboretum
* Water for disaster preparedness – Safe N’ Ready
* Urban Homestead – water wise urban farming

Howard Street, Pasadena, CA 91103 Hosted by Northwest Pasadena Community Gardeners and The Trailer Trash Project [i] Join us Saturday November 15 (10an – 2pm) for Wonderful Water: A Neighborhood Festival at The Farmer’s Yard in NW Pasadena. Artists, scientists, gardeners, naturalists, musicians and poets will inspire and challenge us to consider the life-sustaining importance of water. For children (2 yrs and up) activities include: Adults and children will be invited to enjoy a glass of water, listen to live music and add their water memories to the Raindrop Tree.
