Wine Profile

Winemaker Notes
Under the guidance of well known Australian consulting winemaker, Chris Ringland, the Henry’s Drive Winemaking team are responsible for this for this vintage of Pillar Box Red, named after the once-ubiquitous red postal boxes that used to dot the Australian landscape. The majority of the fruit for this wine was sourced from the Estate’s Padthaway vineyards, with a small amount coming from local growers. The vines are in various types of soil, including red loam, black loam and deep sand over limestone. The wine is matured using 85% French and 15% American oak for three to four months.
