I got my parents to visit www.cannonsatellite.com and upgrade their television package. Now, my mom gets all the Food Network shows. She loves to cook and has loved being able to watch all of her favorite cooking shows on HD. Her two favorite cooks on the network are Rachel Ray and Paula Deen. She definitely doesn’t cook as heavy as Paula Deen does, she leaves out a lot of the butter and substitutes heavy cream for skim milk in most of her recipes. Everything that she cooks from a Paula Deen recipe turns out great! I love it. For my birthday dinner last week, she did a great spread of fried chicken and traditional southern vegetables. The fried chicken that she made was actually breaded and baked in the oven, but it was great. She even made a banana pudding for my birthday dessert instead of a cake. It was so wonderful! I am going to make that pudding for my family sometime soon!
