Reports are coming in that a plane with Tesla employees has crashed in Palo Alto.
The plane came to rest at 1225 Beech St., East Palo Alto, CA 94303. The power line tower clipped was the one at the east end of Cypress St.
Reports are also that power has been affected in the city with downed power lines due to the accident.
One comment on the fog today:
“Coming down from the hills into the peninsula today, the fog was impenetrable. even for a rinky-dink airport like palo alto, the air traffic controller (or whatever passes for one) should have disallowed takeoff
but the pilot also shares some blame. there’s no way you can justify taking off in fog like that, i could barely see the cars in front of me this morning”
The plane was headed to Los Angeles and was an older Cessna 310 manufactured in 1976. Registered owner was Doug Bourn, a senior engineer at Tesla.
