Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival Is April 20
The City of Pasadena and the Armory Center for the Arts invites you to its 11th annual celebration of the Earth and the Arts!

2013 FESTIVAL LINEUP
The festival kicks off Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Levitt Pavilion in Memorial Park with a free Conscientious Projector screening of the documentary “Occupy Love,” a celebration of the human spirit driving a global revolution of the heart as manifested in the Occupy Movement and a worldwide mobilization for climate justice
Outdoor Main Stage
11:00am Pasadena Folk Dance Co-op: Folk dancing is great exercise and a wonderful way to make friends. The Pasadena Folk Dance Co-op welcomes you to learn dances from around the world.
12:00pm Pasadena Drums: Bring your store-bought or homemade drums and join the drum circle. We will start off with easy rhythms that everyone can play in unison. All ages and experience levels welcome.
1:00pm Green City Awards: Recognizing Pasadena-area businesses, non-profits and individuals who have exhibited creativity, initiative or substantial effort in practicing environmental responsibility.
2:00pm RT & the 44’s: A folk Noir band created by singer/songwriter RT Valine that uses instruments crafted from tin, 2×4’s and salvaged parts.
3:00pm Special Surprise Guest (TBA)
4:00pm DJ Trolley Parker: DJ set from musician, singer, producer, engineer/mixer and LA Weekly writer Sean O’Connell.

12:30pm Jasper Dickson Revue: Super Sweet East-Side Rock N’ Roll.
1:30pm Skeleton Crew Pirate Band: Acoustic folk comedy from a pair of friendly pirates.
2:30pm Apple Brains: Fun music about fruits, vegetables, and good health.
3:30pm Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang: Kids and parents will love this local sextet that the LA Times called a “sonic adventure” on-par with anything the muppets did in their heyday.

The Sustainable Beer and Wine Garden will feature artisan lagers and ales from Pasadena’s Craftsman Brewing Company, Everson Royce and Los Angeles’s Eagle Rock Brewery with drinks served in fully compostable, corn-based cups. Yummy food will be available from two local restaurants, Pita Pita (Lebanese cuisine) and Robin’s Barbeque (Wood fire BBQ).
In addition to providing free youth art workshops throughout the day, Armory Center for the Arts is bringing MIA “Moving Images Art” which will feature projections of artists’ work using the moving images from experimental film, video art, installation art, performance art, essay films and animation.
Alternatively, join the 5.7-mile Earth and Arts Festival Bike Ride through town, led by C.I.C.L.E. Perfect for riders of all ages and skill levels, the guided tour will highlight the City’s Rotating Public Art Exhibition Program. Meet at Memorial Park (Raymond Ave. & Holly Street) at 11am. Bring your bicycle in good working order. Ride leaves promptly at 11:30am and will return to the festival by 1pm.

The City’s Department of Transportation asks that you consider using the Metro Gold Line to come to the festival. Show your Metro pass at the transportation booth to receive a Free Earth Day reusable bag, while supplies last.
