Miners Rescue in Chile Live Streaming

After 69 days over 2, 000 feet below the surface of the earth, the process of transporting miners through the hole that took months to drill. Everyone is excited that the miners are coming up, lots of clapping and hugs.

69 days is the longest time on record that anyone has survived.

August 5, 2010 is when the miners where trapped, for the first 17 days nobody knew if they had survived the collapse.

There are cameras on every possible angle.

The shaft is 28 inches wide.

At this point 12 miners have been brought up in the shuttle transporter named FENIX, or Phoenix.  Developed in conjunction by NASA, it has air, communications- audio and video.

The medical and psychological challenges and process of recovery for the miners will be long.  Although the miners are looking pretty good.  Post-traumatic stress syndrome.

They come out wearing eye protection because they have been underground for 69 days.  Apparently the temperatures underground have been in the 90 degrees.
