Los Angeles 2nd Annual Taste of Mexico Friday, 11/30 @TasteofMex

The 2nd Annual Taste of Mexico is back at Vibiana on Friday, November 30th

LOS ANGELES— Mark your calendars, The Taste of Mexico returns to downtown LA’s Vibiana and is raising the (tequila) bar In 2010! The Taste of Mexico’s inaugural event offered food connoisseurs the opportunity to sample entrees from southern California’s finest Mexican restaurants.  For one day only, guests were invited downtown to Vibiana to indulge in an unlimited tasting of regional dishes. Over 1000 people attended 2010’s event exposing tens of thousands more the “real” cuisines of Mexico outside of those Angelenos are already familiar with.

2012 is set to be bigger and better with nearly twenty of the city’s top restaurants offering unlimited samplings plus ultra premium Tequila, Mezcal and Baja wineries featured. Live music, mariachi and DJs will round out the entertainment for the evening and a portion of every ticket sold will benefit The Downtown LA Art Walk.

Highlighted vendors include The Taste of Mexico Association Founders which include La Monarca Bakery, Frida Restaurant, Frida Tacos, Casa Azul, Guelaguetza and La Casita Mexicana and other amigos: Cacao Mexicatessen,  Playa, Yuca’s Tacos,  Loteria Grill, Red O, Mexikosher, Connie’s  Seafood, La Sandia, Candela Taco Bar, Tortas Bravas, Guisados, Cook’s Tortas, Paqui Tequila, MD Vinos, Viñedos Palafox, Dobel Tequila, Victoria Beer & CasaDragones (Available during VIP hour only).  A complete list of this year’s participants will be posted to The Taste of Mexico website closer to the event.
