Have you tried using the new deals on facebook places? What has been your experience? The service is new, being announced and released earlier last week.
So far I have seen “deals” from Starbucks and 24 hour fitness. and the big one from the GAP, FREE Jeans, 10,000 of them, then a 40%-off deal kicked in, we hear 50 to 100 jeans where part of the giveaway for each store, many stores had lines before the stores opened. With little or no advertising budget promotion from GAP. The GAP has gone one step further to promote the event with a 40% off deal today only!!
Saturday, November 6 · 10:00am – 9:00pm
Location All U.S. Gap, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody locations only

This Saturday only save 40% off all regularly priced purchases. All new and existing Gap, BR or Old Navy cardmembers will receive 45% off when they use their Gap, BR or Old Navy credit card. To save 40% just mention FLASH40 at the register.
During a checkin at Starbucks I received numerous errors, but the checkin still occurred.
Chipotle is having a facebook places deal buy one get one meal free next weekend and next weekend, we will see how that goes. Here’s the details:
Chipotle is among those few companies selected to offer a check-in deal via Facebook Deals. Promo runs Nov. 13-14 & again Nov. 20-21.
There are two Chipotle restaurants in Pasadena, so I will try to go check in to one of them and see what deal pops up.
So how do you go about adding your business to facebook places if it doesn’t exist or users can’t check-in?

I have wondered about many businesses that are not even listed on facebook, YELP by far does a better job with checkins and business listings from my experience.
