BlizzCon 2010 Tickets Blizzard Conference Sells out FAST!

BlizzCon is a celebration of the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the communities that surround them. This two-day event will contain Q&A panels featuring Blizzard Entertainment developers, social events for players and developers to meet one another, hands-on gameplay featuring your favorite Blizzard Entertainment games, casual and competitive tournaments, and more.

The First Batch of BlizzCon 2010 Tickets Sell Out in Just 23 Minutes

If you were looking for tickets to this year’s BlizzCon, the odds are pretty good that tonight was not your lucky night: The first batch of tickets for Blizzard Entertainment’s eagerly anticipated two-day event were snapped up almost as soon as they were let out of the gates at 10pm EDT / 7pm PDT, with a ticket queue of 10,000 already formed just moments after they went on sale. Reports that as of 10:23pm EDT, all of the $150 tickets had already sold out.

A healthy secondary market for BlizzCon tickets has already formed on eBay, where the cheapest ‘buy it now’ offer we could find clocked in at $275.00 for a badge/ticket only (no goodie bag), and $500.00 for a ticket + goodie bag was not uncommon.

You can try again at getting a BlizzCon ticket on Saturday, June 5th at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT.

First Batch of BlizzCon Tickets Sold Out06/2/10

The initial allotment of tickets for BlizzCon 2010 has now been sold out. If you weren’t able to get tickets this time, you’ll have another chance on Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, when a second batch goes on sale. Coverage of the gaming festival will also be offered by DIRECTV as a Pay Per View event, available both via satellite and multi-channel Internet stream — keep an eye on BlizzCon site for more details in the near future.

When and where is BlizzCon 2010?

BlizzCon 2010 will take place on Friday, October 22, 2010 and Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific Time on both days (Friday and Saturday).
How much does a BlizzCon 2010 ticket cost?

Each BlizzCon ticket costs $150. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, and Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who violates this policy.
Where and when can I buy BlizzCon 2010 tickets?

To attend BlizzCon, you must purchase tickets in advance through the Blizzard Store. Tickets to BlizzCon 2010 will be sold in two separate batches on two different dates. The first batch goes on sale on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The second batch goes on sale on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. Tickets from each batch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until they are sold out, though Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to sell additional tickets in the future. There will be a five-ticket limit per household. Please visit the Blizzard Store on either of the days above to make your purchase.
What activities will be at BlizzCon 2010?

In addition to serving as a gathering place for Blizzard Entertainment gaming communities, BlizzCon will offer attendees a chance to enjoy discussion panels with Blizzard Entertainment developers, competitive and casual tournaments for players to showcase their talents, hands-on gameplay featuring your favorite Blizzard Entertainment games, community contests with great prizes, commemorative merchandise based on Blizzard Entertainment’s game universes, and more. We’ll share more details about these and other events and activities on www.blizzcon.com as the event draws closer.
How will ticket sales operate this year?

The online sales process will be similar to the one used for BlizzCon 2009 tickets. When you proceed to checkout at the Blizzard Store, if there are other people purchasing tickets ahead of you and tickets are still available, you will enter into a wait list before you can check out and complete your purchase. While in the queue, you will receive regular updates of your estimated wait time and information about the remaining ticket availability. Once you’ve reached checkout, you will have 15 minutes to purchase tickets before they are released for another customer to purchase, at which point you will need to return to the BlizzCon Store home and begin the process again. Please note that having a position in the wait list does not guarantee you tickets. For more details on the system, visit the ticket queue info page.
Can I order BlizzCon tickets over the phone?

You will only be able to place BlizzCon ticket orders online through the Blizzard Store. We will not be accepting BlizzCon ticket orders over the phone.
What can I do ahead of time?

Purchasing tickets requires a Battle.net account. If you do not have a Battle.net account and wish to create one in advance of ticket sales, click here to get started. Prior to ticket sales beginning, you may wish to visit Battle.net Account Management to ensure your contact and stored credit-card information are up-to-date, and to verify your e-mail address.

Important note for American Express customers: If you are planning to pay by American Express, please note you may need to contact the credit-card company prior to the purchase to authorize this transaction. In order to prevent delays at checkout, you may wish to use an alternate payment method.

If I was in the queue on the first ticket-sales date but wasn’t able to buy tickets because they sold out, will I be placed on a waiting list for the second batch on the second ticket-sales date?

No. Each batch of tickets is being sold independently, and each batch is being sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they’re sold out, we will not be accepting additional ticket requests. However, Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to sell additional tickets in the future.
