Believe it or not but the recent recession has not hit everywhere with the same intensity in USA. Some cities have been found to be the worst places to look for jobs the reason is simply the fact that these places offered jobs in the production industry sector which has been hit badly by the recession. Cities with the highest rates of unemployment include Detroit, Riverside and Providence.

Places which are lesser affected by recession are the ones which offer more in service industry than in production based industry. Cities with some of the lowest unemployment rates include Oklahoma City, San Antonio and New Orleans.

But this does not mean that you pack up and go. Remember times never stay the same. Situations change and improve with passage of time.
