Perhaps the worst problem these days is the hazard of weight related problems where millions of people around the world are fighting this cause. In most of the cases, people eager to lose weight either are not aware of the right process to adopt, or are misled by fake tips. It is definitely possible to lose weight positively, provided that the steps are followed closely.
The simple and successful formula to lose weight is by following few surgery principles: here is a short glimpse of how it works —
a) These principles follow certain logical steps — It tends to fill your belly before you practically fill them by food.
b) A lot of people suffer from weight related problems because they are not able to put a check into their diet. They basically don’t know when to stop eating or how much food is sufficient for them. This principle shows you the right level and play the role of false alarm.
c) This false alarm rises concern of having full belly even if the food supplied is less. This false signal gives an impression of full stomach even if it is half empty.
d) It sends emotional and nervous signals to the brain telling it that the stomach is full rather than asking for more food. This helps you in reducing diet even if you are not aware of it.
A lot of people have dramatically improved on their weight related issues following this simple principle. All you have to do is to use this device and follow its instructions. Now it is inevitable that you will start losing weight without you noticing it.
The most common problem most of the mothers face is the headache in tracking their kids. When you are busy, with little time to spare for your kids and one of them goes missing, things really go out of hands. Even in this cruel world, the kids are highly vulnerable to bad things that might spoil their careers. Being a parent, it is your responsibility to make sure that your kid follows the right path.
The big question hers is that how can a parent be positive that the kid is taking the right path and is not getting involved into wrong things. The best option is the AmberalertGps system. With this technology, mothers can now afford to have a take a sigh of relief and do the following easily:
a) It is very portable, small, sleek and very powerful.
b) They easily fit into regular belongings and keep sending required data without any problem.
c) A simple SMS can instantly give impression of your kid with all details of his whereabouts.
d) Any web enabled phone can easily access the network and find out the exact location of the target.
e) This device is small and can easily disguise itself. It is difficult for the kids to find them. Also these devices are strongly build by architecture, giving it a tough look.
The best thing one can benefit from amberalerts is that they offer their services for more than one devices from the computer. So, guardians can now keep a closer watch over their kids and find out whether they are are in the right path or getting into wrong places.
Hi Kapitallist,
Gordon Gekko, the main character from the 80’s classic movie Wall Street, famously said that the stock market is a place where money is “transferred from one perception to another.” At the end of the day, the stock market is just a big laboratory of investing ideas. If your perception of the trends around you is accurate, you’re likely to be a successful investor.
But how do you find investing ideas? To help you get started, we’ve compiled about a hundred lists of stocks and funds that have exposure to the trends that are shaping the future. These lists can be accessed in the List Menu on the top left of your Kapitall Playground.
In today’s newsletter, we’re highlighting some of the top performing trends over the last year. As always, you’ll have to log into your Kapitall account to access these lists…
#1 Trend: China as an Economic Superpower
Average 1-year return of the list: 146%
Fourteen companies included in the list
Many experts believe that China will be the world’s next economic giant, and investors have taken notice. Our list of Chinese stocks have had an average return of 146% over the last year, beating Brazil (68% gain), Japan (34% gain) and Germany (46% gain).
#2 Trend: Baby Boomers as an Economic Force
Average 1-year return of the list: 104%
Seventeen companies included in the list
Will consumer companies that target older households see more growth than those focusing on the broader or younger population? To monitor this idea, JP Morgan constructed the Aging Population Index to track a basket of stocks that have meaningful exposure to the Baby Boomers of North America. It’s interesting to note that this index has outperformed the S&P 500 Index in six of the past eight years in both absolute and risk-adjusted terms.
#3 Trend: Solar Energy
Average 1-year return of the list: 83%
Eleven companies included in the list
Solar and wind power currently supply less than 2% of the world’s energy needs, but advances in technology are about to expand with the introduction of nano-engineered materials for solar panels, making them far more efficient, lighter and easier to install. Investors are clearly excited by developments in this space…
#4 Trend: Online Security
Average 1-year return of the list: 54%
Four companies included in the list
Cyber warfare may have sounded like science fiction a few years ago, but it’s becoming increasingly common these days. The Pentagon reported some 360 million attempts to break into its networks last year, up from just 6 million in 2006. And don’t forget the recent hacker attack on Google, originating out of China. Companies know that they need to protect themselves against cyber criminals, and they’re willing to pay good money to safeguard their online operations. If you think this is a trend worth buying into, have a look at our list of online security stocks.
#5 Trend: The Kapitall Community
Average 1-year return of the list: 111%
Ten companies included in the list
It’s interesting to note that the ten stocks most viewed by Kapitall users have had an average 1-year return of 111%. Does that mean we’re all analyzing companies that have already moved too far too fast, or are these kinds of gains sustainable?
Thanks for your ongoing support and feedback. Till next week!

- About the Series
- Lee A. DuBridge (1901-1994), internationally acclaimed scientist and administrator, was Caltech’s president from 1946 to 1969, when he became science advisor to President Nixon. Called America’s “senior statesman of science” by Time magazine in 1955, DuBridge was considered an exemplary research-university president in an era of vast scientific, societal, and educational change; he guided the growth of the modern Caltech, while maintaining a breadth of view, an understanding of and an interest in national affairs that was rare among university presidents. He was also a first-rate physicist, a leader in research that was of immense importance to the Allied victory in World War II.As a memorial to DuBridge and his numerous contributions to Caltech, Southern California, and the nation, Caltech has established the Lee Alvin DuBridge Distinguished Lecture Series to bring to campus prominent speakers of national and/or international importance. Prior lecturers in the series have been veteran journalist Walter Cronkite, financier Warren Buffett, Nobel Peace Prize-winner John Hume, Jack Valenti, longtime head of the MPAA, award-winning journalist Judith Woodruff, and investor Charlie Munger.

MEG WHITMAN was the CEO of eBay from 1998 to 2008, growing the company into an unparalleled engine of global e-commerce. Her thirty-year career includes helping many companies, including Stride Rite, Bain & Company, Procter & Gamble, Disney, and Hasbro. In 2009, she announced her candidacy for governor of California. She lives in Atherton, California.
As head of eBay, Meg Whitman’s success earned her a reputation as is one of the most legendary CEO’s of our time. In her new book, THE POWER OF MANY: Values for Success in Business and in Life,Whitman lays out the leadership philosophy that helped her and her team turn a tiny start-up into a revolutionary economic engine that earns tens of billions of dollars in transactions for not only the company, but for millions of people around the world.
By managing eBay with old-fashioned, common-sense values, Whitman unleashed a remarkable twenty-first century phenomenon that she calls “the Power of Many.” According to Meg, a Power of Many company takes advantage of the networking powers of modern technology to do things that would otherwise be impossible. The goal is to use technology to save costs and improve efficiencies, and to engage the energy, ideas, and goodness of people. It demands a style of leadership that emphasizes communication and openness, and, when difficult decisions loom, it demands that we consider the question: What is the right thing to do? Meg shows us that values like trust, courage, and validation are essential tools for success that go hand in hand with traditional business practices—like holding oneself accountable or growing a company efficiently.
With a candor rare among CEOs of her stature, she reveals the decision-making behind many of the company’s most strategic moves, and how her wide-ranging career at places like Bain, Disney, Hasbro, and FTD informed her choices. Meg offers unexpected and intriguing insights involving situations where mistakes were made and where the course was not at all clear.
The Drucker Business Forum is produced by the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management with additional support from the Pearson Foundation. Note: The Drucker School does not endorse candidate for public office, and welcomes the opportunity to host other candidates for Governor.
