According to the Microsoft Store website, there are many stores opening for the holidays.
Most of these appear to be holiday pop-up stores and we are not sure how long they will remain open.
Apparently some of them are opening on Oct 26, 2012, to coincide with Surface and Windows 8 release.
Here’s the link to check out for stores in your area. I was surprised to see no store in the Pasadena area, the closest one is in Glendale at the Glendale Galleria. This link is better for seeing the stores in the Los Angeles area.

It seems that Microsoft is taking many cues from Apple in how the stores are laid out and the style and feel of the stores.

Tonight Obama is visiting Burbank to be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Expect long delays around Burbank near NBC studios and travel from LAX.
We are not sure how the President will be transported to and from Burbank’s NBC studios, but expect delays between 4:30 – 8:30.
NBC is taping the show at 6:30pm, two hours later.
