Operation “Render Safe” Sylmar Explosion Shuts Down 210 Freeway

Officials are on scene from the FBI, bomb squad, fire fighters, police and sheriffs, helicopters are sweeping the area.

The task at hand is to dispose of tanks that had been used to extract hydrogen from water.

The explosion which took place in early August, left damage in the surrounding area and debris and the roof of the building blown off.
