Apple Event Announcements

The rumors are swirling again about what we can expect from the event being being held in San Francisco this Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
Apple is expected to announce a tablet, but in addition there could be some developments on the end of the exclusive arrangement Apple & AT&T currently have.
Great commendations would go to Apple for releasing an unlocked iPhone available to run on any network. If they could get the price point at $300 and allow users to select their own service network, this would be a win win.
We are also hearing that the iPhone OS will be updated to 4.0.
Steve Jobs is rumored to have said this event will be the most significant of his career and time with Apple. So we should take this very seriously, as Apple is a battle with RIM Blackberry and Google Android devices.
Personally I would like to see the Apple iPhone released on Verizon, which could very well happen as Verizon was one of the networks Apple had serious discussions with that fell through. So after years of the Apple AT&T marriage, it could come to an end.
Stay tuned as the rumors go into high gear as the event date/time comes closer.
I assume we will have a live stream broadcast of the event to be brought to us by someone. I’ll post it here once I get a link.
