Los Angeles Dodgers on Charter Cable Starting Tuesday June 9, 2015

If you are a Charter Cable subscriber and a Dodger fan, great news. You will now be able to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers games.

Starting June 9, 2015.
SportsNet LA will be available to the 300,000 Charter Cable Subscribers in the Los Angeles area.
Charter’s standard-definition Channel 44. HD High definition on Channel 789.

DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS subscribers are still out of luck.

The Time Warner Cable acquisition by Charter is still pending but expected to pass.

The Long Table: A Playhouse District Food and Wine Celebration is returning to the Playhouse District on Saturday, August 22 from 5 – 9 pm. The Long Table is a celebration of community with a sit-down dinner for 300 of our friends, customers and neighbors. Green Street will provide the perfect shaded canopy to cool the summer evening. Delectable food will be served featuring a series of courses prepared by Le Cordon Bleu College, El Portal, Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, redwhite+bluezz, Braise & Crumble, and more.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 19. Early bird ticket prices range from $75 – $85, and will be available for purchased from June 19 – July 17, 2015.  Regular ticket prices range from $85 – $95 between and will be on sale from July 18 – August 16, 2015.  Open seating and reserved seating is available.  Please email the Playhouse District at info@playhousedistrict.org  to receive a reminder for the Long Table tickets.

The West Coast’s Largest Free Music Festival Returns on Saturday, June 6with Six Main Stages and More Than 30 Supporting Venues

PASADENA, CA (May 2015) – Make Music Pasadena (MMP), the West Coast’s largest free music festival, features international and national acts on six main stages, as well as a varied program of diverse performers at 30+ supporting venues.  On Saturday, June 6, from 11:00am until 11:00pm, this all-day all-ages event will host more than 150 performances throughout downtown Pasadena.  In addition to main stage artists How to Dress Well, Sir Sly, Kishi Bashi, Hundred Waters, Nick Waterhouse, Kaleo, Caroline Smith, Lydia Ainsworth, and Avid Dancer, here are just a few of the assorted musical options at equally distinct locations:

  • 11:15am First United Methodist Church – Resound Ringers offer a unique and beautiful blend of hand bells and piano
  • 11:30am Armory Center for the Arts – sing-along for the kids with Peanut & Ukelele
  • 1:30pm Pasadena Central Library – 2-time EMMY-nominated composer Gary Stockdale
  • 2:00pm Old Towne Pub – moody rock from local up and comers Dark Furs
  • 2:00pm The Factory – just in town after appearing all over the globe DJ/performer Esteban Adame
  • 2:50pm Armory Center for the Arts – indie rock from the brothers Graham with Nacosta
