Seal Beach, CA
E-Cigarette Vendor Moratorium 45 Day Ban
Introduced in 2003 in China, kids using them. This is a precautionary move by the city of Seal Beach, CA.
Are people really using then? There are so many types, that there could be some that are in fact more dangerous than others due to chemicals used in the vapor formulas. I wonder if a plain vapor flavor is used if the same effects have been found.

Our Aunt Angie passed away last Friday August 23, 2013 after a battle with an aggressive cancer.
The tremendous amount of pain she was enduring during her past few months as a result of the cancer she was battling is just unimaginable. She passed with her family at her side. Angie will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
This video was created as a tribute to Angelita Calvillo, the song was written and performed by her sons with the help of Richard Morales.
Angie joins her late husband Roger Calvillo in heaven.

Obituary for Angelita Caballero Calvillo
Angelita was born on January 5, 1932 in Quisicedo, Spain, to Victor and Aquilina (Gomez Peña) Caballero. She passed away on August 23, 2013, in Laguna Beach, California, at the age of 81 years.
Angelita was raised in Entramborrios De Sotoscueba, Spain and became the 5th child at that time. Her mother died 2 years after she was born and Angelita was left to live with her aunt, due to the fact that her father was forced to flee the country during the Spanish Civil War (all of the remaining siblings were sent to live with various relatives or trade schools in Spain and in the United States). Angelita lived on a farm in Entramborrios with her Aunt Prudencia and her uncle Victorino Gomez, cousins Victorino Jr. and Margarita, until the age of 14 (1946) when her father was able to send for her. She and her brother Fernando made the journey to the United States and joined her father, Victor, and his wife, Maria, as well as her siblings, Josephina, Felicitas, Victor, Felix, and Louis in Los Angeles, California. It was there that a few years later she eventually met her dear husband, Rogelio Calvillo.
Rogelio and Angie were married on March 31, 1954, in Los Angeles, California. They settled in Whittier, California, and built a wonderful life for themselves where they raised five loving children. As a homemaker, Angie was able to remain home with her children, while working part-time as a seamstress. That was a special blessing for her. Rogelio, her husband, passed away in 1989, at which point Angelita moved in with her brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Margarita Caballero, who provided a loving home for her until she became ill in 2012. At that time her children then cared for her in their homes until she passed in Laguna Beach on August 23, 2013.
Outside of her family, Angelita enjoyed dancing, cooking and shopping. She was a devoted Catholic who attended St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Whittier, California.
Angelita is survived by her children, Beatrice (Dave) Rosenbaum, Roger (Teresa) Calvillo, Joseph (Arlene) Calvillo, Susan (Alfonso) Galvez, and Monica (Lewis) Zuker; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and four brothers, Victor Caballero, Felix Caballero, Fernando Caballero, and Louis Caballero. She joins her husband Rogelio Calvillo and her two sisters Josephina Caballero Morales and Felicitas Caballero Garcia in Heaven.

If you are like me you like to find the best prices on phone charging cables. There are some very cheap cables out there, that when you use them a couple times or they get stretched a little they will stop working. So the search continues to find the best cables, short of pay the prices Apple charges for cables, you have some alternatives where you can pay less than $10 per cable and potentially end up with some some cables that could last at least a few months.
Most of the time I don’t really care how short or long the cable is.
Here’s an iPhone 5 usb charge cable that is coiled.
Here’s an iPhone cable that is long:

I want to write about my ongoing experience with the graffiti removal department of Pasadena, CA.
This group is on it, remove most graffiti reported within one day or less.
In the past week I have reported large graffiti on a wall of a supermarket on Villa, graffiti on a utility pole, and on the sidewalk. With the increase in graffiti there has been increased workload on the city department but at the same time Jose and Rudy are doing a great job.
We can all do our part to keep the streets free of graffiti by reporting it quickly.
