Nissan LEAF Charging Alert App Idea
Here’s an idea for the Nissan LEAF.
It would be very helpful, if there was a way to setup an alert that would send a message/text or email or even call you if your charge or range is below a certain point.
Here’s the concept. I get home and forget to plug in the LEAF, and I have to drive to the office in the morning, but it is 50 miles, the car has a range of 40 miles currently, if I could get an alert that would alert me every 2-3 hours, about the status of the charge level on the LEAF, that would be very helpful.
The one problem I see is that the LEAF operates on the AT&T wireless mobile network, which is not the most reliable as I have experienced not only with the Nissan LEAF app on the iPhone or voice calls, data, or texting.
You send for an update, and it is hit or miss, the only thing that is successful most of the time, is the request for Carwings update being sent, no guarantee that you will get the update.

Another Reason Why The AT&T Purchase of T-Mobile Should Not Be Approved
If you live in Los Angeles and have suffered with AT&T service, and yesterday was the pinnacle of failure, some calling it epic fail. So AT&T thinks that the Justice Dept will approve its acquisition of T-Mobile US, but I contest the whole thing.
AT&T is obviously doing it to keep the #2 #3 #4 players from encroaching on their business, will in time if AT&T continues to make missteps, it will suffer the ultimate fate and become #2 or #3 or less. That would not be a bad thing, I would guess that Verizon would love to get approval to purchase Sprint, but chances are that will not happen.
So AT&T buys Cingular, SBC and all the bell companies and we suffer from long drawn out acquisition periods of years, and poor service and horrible customer service.
Now AT&T is pitching the T-Mobile deal as a “great thing” for customers… well I would say that from multiple perspectives this is a VERY BAD THING. You don’t want to have T-Mobile becoming part of AT&T.
Imagine, AT&T and T-Mobile together and there are service outages, imagine they decide to raise prices, you have fewer choices,
We need all the players, and NEW players in the wireless space. Wouldn’t it be great to see a company like Apple or Google buying spectrum and developing devices that do not rely on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or Sprint.
Having broadband cable service at home is good, but it is only part of the solution.
If you live in Los Angeles and tried to make or receive calls on the AT&T wireless network, will you most likely had problems. Call could not be completed, no access to voice mail, or any other services, all while the phone displayed 3G Full Service.
There are no details being released, but some information is available about over 1,000 cell towers, not working, from around 3pm Saturday September 24, 2011, for several hours, I personally was still having troubles into the evening.
The great quote from AT&T this morning…. they are reimbursing on a “case by case” basis. Hmm… so I may call just to see how they handle the call.

Where is NASA Satellite, some reports it may have hit US land others in Ocean
Is there pictures or video of the satellite hitting earth?
US NASA Satellite in ocean, some reports it may have hit US land.
The dead 6 ton satellite about the size of a bus had been orbiting earth along with 20,000 other items in space.
UARS is the biggest NASA spacecraft to crash to Earth, uncontrolled, since the post-Apollo 75-ton Skylab space station and the more than 10-ton Pegasus 2 satellite, both in 1979.
NASA believes all, or nearly all, of 6-ton spacecraft plunged into Pacific
Some reports are that it may have scattered across North American, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA and areas in that area.
