Hello art, music and film enthusiasts!
I need you! I’m coordinating volunteers for 13th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival, on October 1st, in Los Angeles, California.
Eagle Rock Music Festival is the annual centerpiece event in free arts programming and benefits Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock, one of the last remaining arts and cultural programming centers in Northeast Los Angeles.
Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization whose mission is to provide multicultural, innovative arts programming to the communities of Northeast Los Angeles. Programs include exhibitions, community festivals, free and low-cost after school arts classes, a summer art camp, and more!
Volunteering at Eagle Rock Music Fest is an opportunity to put your talents to good use, learn new skills, and make new friends who love music and art as much as you do.
Our volunteers are present at every entry point to the festival, and many stages and venues along Colorado Boulevard. Most volunteer jobs require little to no experience, just a smile and willingness to help!

The Number 1 REASON for SMOG CHECK Failures is due To: Don’t go for a state emissions test. In a late-model car, an illuminated “check engine” light probably is a sure sign your car will fail the test. In California, it’s an automatic failure, even if the problem was nothing more than a loose gas cap. By the way, don’t bother trying to fool the inspection station by disconnecting the battery or using any other method to erase the trouble code and turn off the “check engine” light. Your vehicle’s computer will let the inspection station know that its codes have been erased, and the vehicle will fail the state’s emission inspection test. You must perform a “drive cycle” after the repairs are performed before going back to the inspection station. A Drive Cycle is a special test drive that duplicates a person starting their car and making a short freeway trip, as if they were driving to work. While this special test drive or ‘Drive Cycle’ is occurring, the Engine Computer runs little tests or Readiness Monitors that check to see if the Emissions System is working properly. Spotify Signups No Longer Invite-Only, Get Six Months of Premium Service for Free
Popular music streaming service Spotify has seemingly gone out of beta for the US as they are now allowing users to sign up to the service without needing an invite. The small catch? You’ll have to sign up through Facebook (which is newly-redesigned, if you haven’t heard).
Users will also be able to get six months of premium service for free, which means Android users can listen to music on their phone without having to pay for the time being.
