Last night we met some good friends at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles. Joy and Kevin Murphy along with their new boy Peyton. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated.

There’s a security guard walking the perimeter of the restaurant making sure everyone is safe.

Parking can be a pain, but it is safe to come during off peak hours. Otherwise you may have to park a block or so away, also you can try the street one block south, where the KFC is located between the Carl’s Jr and KFC. It’s a dead end, but there is parking for several cars there.

This location used to be a Shakey’s or Straw Hat, you can tell by looking at the windows, design, and I believe it was a chinese restaurant also.

The food was very good, with everyone having some form of chicken, either chunks or deep fried, and some waffles, regular and buckwheat, we had some cornbread. Lots of food. I had the chicken sandwich was good. The chicken was formed and crispy coated. We also had some Corona beers, which is always nice, they also had wine available.

There was a serious draft running through the place at least where I was sitting, cool breeze, from the vents.

Onwers, we are trying to determine who the owners are of this place, as there is some confusion. but we will get that info for you.
