Nissan Leaf Coming – Week of July 26, 2011 – Fontana Nissan @nissanleaf

Your Nissan LEAF™ is scheduled for delivery to your dealer within 7 days before or after the estimated delivery date. following delivery to your dealer, a few days of preparation and activation will be required.

Adjustments may have to be made to delivery dates. you will be notified by email if your delivery date changes by more than 14 days.

So what are the options for electric owners for charging your new electric vehicle?

You can find a public location to charge using the Dept of Energy national directory and search page.

If you are looking for a level 3 or DC Fast charger, there are few or none to be found, so a stop at one of the level 2 chargers will take at least 8 hours to provide your vehicle with a full charge.  Level 3/DC Fast chargers are needed to facilitate 10 minute, 70% charges to allow drivers to break the 100 mile range, i.e. someone from LA driving to Santa Barbara for the day, if they had access to a level 3 charger they could easily do this trip.
