Forest Fires Cause Heat Wave in Los Angeles

As the weather turns hot it brings with it the nightmarish horrors of a forest fire. The mountains north of Los Angeles has forests which go dry during summer season and even with a little spark catch fire. presently about 7, 000 acres of forest have burnt in the San Gabriel Mountains near the exclusive suburb of La Canada Flintridge.

This has forced the authorities to get the area evacuated as the lives of the residents were in danger. Till now over 100 homes have been got evacuated for safety reasons.

Since Wednesday last week, when the fire broke out the fire department was not been able to control as there is a lot of fuel for the fire and little can be done to totally control it. Till Saturday only 5% of the assessed fire has been managed by the fire department.

The fire has caused the temperature in the area to rise above 100 o F and is likely to keep increasing till the fire is totally controlled.
