Citigroup Spending Money on Plane

Citigroup spent 50 million on a corporate plane, a Dassault Falcon 7X. They are paying for it by selling other planes….. at least that is what they are saying.  And of all things, this jet is made in France, if you are going to spend 50million on a plane at least buy one made in the US!

Robert Gibbs, spoke on this not being the best use of money.

We need terms of conditions on the money that is part of the bailout.

Citigroup is saying it is not buying the plane. Consumer and tax payer outroar is the only way, we need to stand up and hold this companies accountable.

What is Ricahrd Parsons now doing?

We need to make sure that the money is “lent” with conditions. The banks are still failing.

Note: I am a customer of Citibank, and have been very tempted to close my account. Citibank are you paying attention? This is unacceptable behavior.
