Citibank sending NSF funds letters to wrong customers @citibank @askciti
Citibank NSF Notices Sent to Wrong Customers!
Debit Advice check from a different party sent to me.

I spoke to Rada who proceeded to try to explain that I had made deposits and that the charges are correct for an NSF.

    Citibank Gold Customer Service
    Joshua Burns
Charles Ware – call center San Antonio Texas
    Michael Rico (210) 357-0020 Supervisors
Robert Hogan Operations Manager (210) 357-9555

The representative said the $10 would be credited
    09-14-2011 DEP CHECK RETD $ 320.00

    Are these people kidding me?
I’ve about had it with Citibank and their antics with the way they treat customers at their branches and they way they disrespect customers. Even small customers.
‘And Citibank is one of the companies that was helped with our
Now I am speaking to Josh who is supposedly a supervisor, manager this guy has no clue as did Radan,
What kind of idiots does Citibank have answering the phones.
Oh, and then the customer services reps laughed at the situation, like if this sort of thing is funny??? Citibank you are very close to losing another customer very quick! I don’t have to put up with this crappy customer service.

Citibank can send letters for the wrong customer and charge their account and think it is funny and get away with it? Are the kidding?

    Then there was

    09-14-2011 DEP CHECK RETD $ 320.00

So, let me sum this up. I had nothing to do with this other than someone wrote a check with non sufficient funds, I get the notice and my account is debited $10 for the NSF charge and $320 for the amount of the check for which I did not deposit, you get this so far, how wrong this picture is?
Then when I insist to be credited for the charges and have the record show no record of the NSF activity, because we all know that NSF, i.e. bounced checks can impact your credit report. So the representative could credit the $10 charge, but could not credit the $320 amount that was debited from the account and went as far as to say that it would take 5-7 days to credit the amount, oh and the rep could not issue a record of the call, no call record id, nothing, so I could call and the next rep could say they show no record of the call, this has also happened before with Citibank and other companies.
THIS IS JUST WRONG! and Citibank knows it and can’t do anything, you are kidding….
It is amazing that banks create these systems and procedures to benefit them 100% even at the expense of customers. Like this case, why could the rep not reverse all improper transactions.
Then Charles went as far as to call it a CLERICAL error! Are they serious, all this done by machines with very little human interaction. On the check from the party I have now knowledge of, there is not a number on it that even resembles any number from my account.

Now I have reached out to Citibank on both twitter and facebook, and have received a response.

    This was the first response:
