Alexander’s Steakhouse Restaurant Group is excited to be expanding to Southern California near Old Town Pasadena in early summer 2015. Offering a modern interpretation of the classic steakhouse with hints of Japanese influence throughout the menu, Alexander’s Steakhouse has been an integral part of the Northern California culinary scene since 2005. Our portfolio includes two fine dining steakhouses: Alexander’s Steakhouse in Silicon Valley and San Francisco along with our most recent addition, Alexander’s Patisserie in the South Bay. Our culinary and service teams are committed to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience through genuine hospitality and by offering an extensive menu focused on delivering the finest ingredients. We are seeking candidates for all FOH positions: Front Waiters, Back Waiters, Food Runners, Hosts, Bartenders, Expediters, Baristas and Glass/Silver Polishers.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in fine dining, detail-oriented, organized, professional, genuine and guest-focused. We are seeking staff who possess a strong work ethic, can multi-task effectively, work well under pressure and who have a keen eye for detail. Open availability, which includes night and weekends, is required.

Front Waiter:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years fine-dining experience along with a strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails and beer. Sommelier certification or other professional beverage certifications are preferred.

Bartender:
Candidates must have a strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, beer and beverages in addition to solid food knowledge. Minimum of 1 year fine-dining experience is ideal along with the ability to work well independently and with others, excellent communication skills and organizational skills.

Food Runner:
Responsible for supporting the FOH and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth dining room operations by presenting food to guests in a timely manner and with proper descriptions. Strong food knowledge, memorization skills, quick thinking, a sense of urgency and motivation are key.

Barista:
Candidates will be well-versed in coffee, tea and espresso beverages. This position requires a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong detail-orientation, sound communication skills, maintenance of a clean work area and accuracy are a priority.

Glassware/Silverware Polisher:
This role supports the FOH and BOH staff by maintaining spotless glassware and silverware and assisting with bread service. Professional demeanor, warm personality and a sense of urgency are required.
