Help Japan Chefs Center Bake Sale April 2, 2011
help Japan header
The tragedies that have struck Japan are alarming. The need for assistance to those affected is immediate and ongoing. I personally have felt the need to be supportive and did not know how to.

One of our Chefs Center clients contacted me to see if we would participate in an old fashioned Bake Sale/Fundraising event on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Chefs Center is going to be one of the more than 27 host sights for this event. The funds raised will benefit a Japanese aid group called Peace Winds Japan: www.peace-winds.org.

The Bake Sale is being organized locally by a blogger named Breanne, for full details please go to: www.bitesofsugar.blogspot.com; you can also visit bakesaleforjapan.com. They are looking for individuals and companies to donate baked items for sale on Saturday the 2nd between 10am and 2pm.  If you can participate it would be amazing, if not please forward this information to anyone you know who bakes or would be interested in purchasing some of the items to support the effort.

To volunteer and donate baked goods please e-mail: losangelesbakesale@gmail.com

Thank you for being part of the solution.

The annual Style Uncorked event has generated more excitement than we ever imagined possible, bringing together both longtime advocates and new supporters of reproductive health education. On this fifth anniversary of the fete, which will take place Friday April 15, 2011 in Pasadena, we will unite for a simple and necessary goal: to promote honest, effective communication about sexual health between youth and the adults who care about them.

Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley provides broad public access to family planning and reproductive health care through medical services; comprehensive, medically accurate, age-appropriate sex education; and advocacy that supports these human rights.
