Don’t Fall For the Scam!

Pasadena Water & Power Is Not Calling Demanding Payment

Scammers are working in full force trying to trick people into sending them money. The calls look like they are coming from the City with a (626) 744-XXXX number but will then ask for a return call to a 1-800 number.  PWP never calls customers to make payment over the phone. Scammers will ask you to go to a local grocery store or nearby pharmacy to make payment using a gift card.  This is definitely a red flag. Please check out this helpful video:
