Problems with Wireless Networks and IPv6

If you are like me you have been experiencing troubles connecting to wireless networks or when you connect to a wireless network and another computer connects it kills the connection.

What seems to be the best way to handle is go into your network settings and disable IPv6 this will leave IPv4 enabled. Apparently IPv7 is due at some point.

You can disable IPv6 on your network card from within Win7. That’s what I did and thus far I have not had any further router issues. W7 loads IPv4 and IPv6 by default. With older routers it seems the IPv6 is causing issues.

This appears to be a problem with many routers and Vista and Windows 7.
