The future of our water supply—Council Member McAustin requests your input
Your City Council and Pasadena Water & Power are in the process of putting together a plan to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible water supply. It’s called the Water Integrated Resource Plan or WIRP. Since this plan will guide all decisions made about water in our City for the next 25 years, Council Member McAustin wants to hear from you. There are two ways to let her know what you think
The first and most important is to take the 5 minute on-line survey at
https://ww2.cityofpasadena.net/waterandpower/waterplan/
The survey is designed to determine what direction you think our W&P needs to take. It will ask you about your thoughts on importing more water, restricting future growth, adding more water restrictions, utilizing grey water, etc. It will also have you rank your answers.
The second way to have a say is to attend the next WIRP Public Workshop on
Tuesday, March 30, 2010
6:30 p.m.
Altadena Main Library
600 E. Mariposa Street
Altadena, CA 91001
The workshop consists of a short presentation on the status of Pasadena’s water resources and an open discussion on what our priorities should be.
Thank you for your efforts to conserve water and for your participation.
