ABOUT OUR NAME – THE NEW WORLD F.E.S.T. (Festival of Eco-Friendly Science and Technology). Cool, huh?
The world sure is new, and getting newer. Its rate of change is super-fast. Some say changes to our planet, society, technology, and our abilities to garner and transmit information – collectively, our “world” – have been greater as an aggregate in just the past 20 years than in any 200 years preceding. We now possess knowledge and power greater than ever before. And while this yields both risk and opportunity, we are here to celebrate the opportunity. We are The New World F.E.S.T. – and we are all about planning a smart future for our new world. We embrace emerging paradigms, and the need to revisit and revise priorities. We believe that we live in a time where it’s smart for ALL of us to be … smart and proactive. At its core The New World F.E.S.T. is a festival, a large fun-filled leisure community gathering. So … without lessening the festive spirit which defines it, we hope to garner and present the importance of community, teamwork, and collective effort – the kind that really will allow us, and our “new world”, to survive and flourish. This is the way to the best and brightest future for us all, and that is something worth celebrating.
EVENT LOCATION
The New World F.E.S.T. takes place at the beaches of Santa Monica, in a parking lot, on a rectangular black-top surface comprising 95,000+ square feet. The precise location is 2600 Barnard Way, Santa Monica, CA 90405, South of the Santa Monica Pier near the intersection of Ocean Park and the beach.
DATES AND HOURS
The New World F.E.S.T. is a 3-day event, open to the general public on:
Friday, October 7, 2011 from 12PM – 8PM
Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 10AM – 8PM
Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 10AM – 5PM
PRICE TO PUBLIC
Adult admission is $12; children 14 and under are $8; infant and toddlers are free. Admission includes all music, speakers, seminars, stage activities, and access to all exhibits. No surcharges. Discounted admission coupons will be made available.
EVENT LAYOUT AND CONTENT
The New World F.E.S.T. will be laid out festively and attractively, and in compliance with fire department guidelines. Tents featuring exhibits will be surrounded by multiple stages, lounges, and other public areas which contain ongoing live performances and a broad range of other entertainment.
The New World F.E.S.T. will feature:

• Panel discussions and Debates among Editors and Pundits
• Themed Showcases
• A Spiritual Oasis (e.g. – meditation, healing, therapeutic massage, aromatherapy…)

• Quality Food & Beverage (including organic, vegetarian, raw, and vegan offerings)
• And plenty of interactive and intelligent fun for families and kids.
The event will be designed to attract and accommodate a
large audience, keep that audience on site, and most of
all – keep them interested.
EXHIBIT SPACES, QUANTITIES, AND LAYOUT
Approximately 150 exhibitor spaces will be made available.
The standard size is 10×10, and can be expanded on a
modular basis to accommodate the need for larger space.
