Baking Whoopie TM was started in 2009 by restaurant publicist and freelance music journalist Roxy Rubell, who is the driving force behind product development along with some guidance from Master Chef and Gourmet Caterer Dave Rubell (who has cooked for everyone from The Boss to five American Presidents).

Roxy has a long-time love affair with whoopie pies, having grown up in New Hampshire, a “Live Free or Die Girl.” With Baking Whoopie TM, she wanted to take the classic dessert to the gourmet level, using only high quality ingredients such as Callebaut Chocolate and Vermont Maple Syrup. The Los Angeles-based company uses only the finest ingredients in all their varieties of gourmet Whoopie Pies – from Red Velvet to Maple Cinnamon to Meyer Lemon to Belgian Chocolate with Mocha Creme and of course, The Classic — chocolate cake and luscious vanilla marshmallow creme filling.

Baking Whoopie does home delivery locally and catering for special events. A retail location is in the works.

You can place an order through our website or if you have any questions, feel free to give us a call, 1-866-632-0508. Enjoy Baking Whoopie!!

Welcome to Baking Whoopie!

Growing up a “Live Free or Die Girl” afforded me ample opportunities to eat whoopie pies — they were at everyone’s birthday party; friends would make them to give as holiday presents and you could always find them at the supermarket.

I started Baking Whoopie in 2009 and I must say, it’s been fun introducing them to Angelenos. The initial reaction is a smile and laugh or a look of consternation along with the “what’s a whoopie pie” question. Then they try one and it’s love at first bite. That makes me smile.

I’m looking forward to getting that grin going nationwide!

Enjoy Baking Whoopie!

Cheers,

Roxanne

P.S. Baking Whoopie uses only the finest ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. ALSO, please don’t confuse the whoopie pie with those cute pink, green and yellow macarons. They are completely different in origin, taste and texture.
