Digital Content Distribution:
New Paths Toward Convergence
at the California Institute of Technology
Pasadena, California
Sophisticated digital consumer devices such as the iPod, Xbox, Archos PMP, and Mobile Smartphones— along with the broadband networks that connect them—have quickly moved the distribution of content to the digital world. This is driving massive demand for new digital content distribution networks, in addition to an entirely new ecosystem of business and technology relationships. An entirely new industry is being formed. The competition is drawing players from diverse markets—including digital media, internet services, and Telecom/IP communications companies.
This event will examine the future landscape of ‘Digital Content Convergence’ and ‘Digital Media Distribution’ with a panel of expert speakers from all four content channels who have diverse backgrounds in Venture Capital, Telecommunications and Entertainment Majors and the emerging technology Eco-systems and Think-tanks of Hollywood.

Huell Howser’s Production Company:
It’s always nice when family can get together.
This past weekend, 7 cousins got together in Burbank for a fabulous gathering in Big Bear, CA. Hosted by Joe and Arelene Calvillo at their family mountain cabin.
In attendance:
Roger Calvillo – highly respected graphic artist
Joe Calvillo – businessman owner- Seeley Bros – high end cabinet maker, frames, doors, millwork.
Val Morales – Dumarc Corporation, Civil Engineering Company in Fullerton, CA.
Alfonso Galvez – Insurance Specialist, Risk Analysis for Business, Comp: Spectrum Insurance Risk
Fernando Caballero – State of California Fund – Workers Compensation
Dan Caballero – VideoJet – service technician, engineer, date coding equipment
Victor Caballero – entrepreneur – online marketing and affiliate marketing expert.
We had lots of fun, playing pool, riding bikes, taking a walk, playing horseshoes, relaxing, drinking beer, bbq’ing, and more.
As a group we even did a good deed by pulling out Lisa and her two children from a creek drainage ditch. Here’s a picture of Lisa and her two boys after we pulled out her car.
Thanks to all the cousins for getting together and a special thanks to Joe Calvillo for opening up his beautiful mountain home and being such a special host.
