Confirmed by the US Navy.
The U.S. Navy eventually announced that this was a Trident II unarmed missile launch, testing the system from a submarine out in the ocean.

Groupon Class Action Lawsuit Could Mean Refund For Your Old Groupons @groupon
Customers who purchased Groupons between November 1, 2008 and December 1, 2011 can receive 130% of the purchase price of their unredeemed Groupons
Most people love a good deal. Most people have purchased a groupon deal at some point in the past year, purchases are down, but one thing most people who buy more than a few groupons have left a groupon deal unused, in some cases the business has actually closed.
I have had several groupons for business which have closed. Groupon will issue a credit if you file a request, and they see the business has closed.
With the class action lawsuit, it applies to any unused groupon, regardless of the business being closed or not.
It is estimated there are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of groupons which are sitting in user accounts expired.
You can look at your account and fill out a form for each groupon which has expired in your account at the class action website. You may be eligible for 130% of the purchase price of the expired groupon.

These are not your regular cell tower, these blend in with the rest of the existing street poles.
Los Angeles was selected because there are more than 100,000 light poles. Philips Ericson will not disclose what the poles cost, according to Ed Ebrahimian, Director, Bureau of Street Lighting, Philips will pay the city to install to each tower $10,000 and yearly fee of $1,200. 22 poles in Hollywood have been installed. Burbank, Glendale & Pasadena Alert Public to Utility Scam
“Scammers threaten to cutoff power unless victims pay alleged overdue bill.”
Post Date:11/05/2015 11:56 AM
The Cities of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena are joining forces to inform the public about an ongoing utility scam that has claimed victims in all three cities.
In a recent two week period, Burbank Water and Power logged more than 40 incidents in which customers reported receiving illicit phone calls from people posing as utility employees. The scammers attempt to convince their victim that their power is about to be turned off unless they make an immediate payment of hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars. It’s a scam that has affected utility customers in Pasadena and Glendale as well. Since utilities are ubiquitous, the scam can occur in virtually any community in Southern California.
In addition to targeting residential customers, scammers frequently target businesses during peak operating hours. The caller will often use “spoofing technology” to make the caller ID appear as if it’s coming from the utility’s phone number. The caller usually instructs the victim to go to a store and purchase a pre-paid debit card. Once the card is loaded with funds, the victim will call the scammer and share the pre-paid card information.
It’s important for utility customers to know that the utility company does not accept payment in this manner and will never call and threaten to immediately shut down power. Service disconnection only occurs after a lengthy process. When an account is delinquent, multiple written notices are sent to the customer before service is discontinued.
If someone calls and threatens to disconnect the utility service, potential victims are urged to end the call immediately. Do not call the number on the phone’s caller ID. Rather, call your utility company or police department to report the incident. To confirm that your account is in good standing, contact the utility using the number on your bill or official utility website.
