CONNECT Week – October 20-26, 2014

Innovate Pasadena is pleased to announce that CONNECT Week 2014 will be taking place from October 20-26.CONNECT Week will celebrate innovation in the greater Pasadena area with 30 events that include a job fair, seminars, workshops, competitions, and the ENVISION Summit. CONNECT Week provides a unique opportunity to learn about design trends, open data efforts, crowdfunding, emerging biotech, 3D printing, successful entrepreneurship, and innovation in Pasadena.

Hands-on Business Building Series by Dirty Hands Labs

Monday, October 20, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

The Hands-on Business Building Series kicks off Innovate Pasadena‘s Connect Week in an interactive and in-depth live case study session.

Go-To-Market Strategies for Startups (hour 1) will be a deep dive into planning and going to market, including explanations from a CEO panel on processes they followed. Interview & Hands-On Workshop with Two New CEOs (hour 2) will involve interviewing the CEOs of two early-stage startups in a workshop format to step through business problems that CEOs encounter and offers actionable steps to solve them. The goal for you as the audience is to think about problem solving in a very hands-on way and to take away things you can apply immediately to your own work.

Business Technology Center Business Showcase

Along with representatives of the top ten Pasadena technology companies, the job fair will feature break out sessions profiling four companies looking to hire fresh talent immediately. You’ll get to know these great companies beyond the elevator pitch from recruiters. Engineering and design representatives from both OpenX and Spokeo will be on hand to hang out, play games and answer your questions. Pick which team you’ll cheer for at the corn hole tournament!
