The AI LA Community is hosting a special event with IBM after the GRAMMYs!

How do you create timeless AI insights about musical artists for the GRAMMY Awards? Is it possible to analyze hundreds of thousands of pieces of content about artists from over 100,000 sources and turn them into usable insights using cloud computing? And how do you ensure that each artist insight is a fact or substantiated opinion that is accessible during the Red Carpet broadcast and video on demand?

The GRAMMY Awards, hosted by the Recording Academy, is a cultural moment that brings together the biggest artists, celebrities and influencers to celebrate and foster a love of music with the world. Last year, the broadcast reached 43 million people, and GRAMMY.com had 3 million visitors in search of information about their favorite artists.

Once again, IBM is partnering with the Recording Academy to contextualize artists’ experiences at the Grammy Awards with insightful factoids. AI, with the help of Watson Discovery, discovers and reveals human journeys that led to a nomination at the Grammy Awards. Each of the insights will be timeless, unambiguous, interesting and a magnification on any facet of an artist’s life. Now, fans around the world will be able to relate and understand the importance of their favorite celebrity’s accomplishment.

Throughout the 2020 Grammy awards show, we will showcase a new video-enriched experience that leverages IBM AI and Cloud technologies to integrate insights into the GRAMMY Red Carpet livestream. During and after the event, we will also provide Video on Demand content that can be viewed on any device.
