2010 Harvest Begins

Farm family & friends,

This year’s blueberry harvest will begin on Friday, May 14th at 8:00am

We have added a few new things to the farm, including a wind machine, and a “new” 1947 Henry Ferguson tractor that is perfect for pictures.

Our wind machine is located in the middle of the farm and has really helped with a cold winter and spring.  It is based on thermal layers and blows warmer air down onto the plants to move the cold air out.  Without the wind machine, this season would have likely been cancelled.  Thank you wind machine.

This season the farm will be open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
We will have pre-picked fruit available as well as U-Pick- 7 days per week.

Some of the new events for this year are as follows:

Monday morning: Delicious blueberry bread from Great Harvest Bakery.  (Limited quantities.)
Tuesday at 9:15am: Nana’s Storytime.  Nana has picked out some great children’s books
Wednesdays we have Fieldtrips & farm tours
Friday morning: Blueberry pies from Great Harvest Bakery (Limited quantities.)
Friday Night Movies at the Farm:  Every Friday beginning May 14th at 8:00pm
This year we are going to start with Charlotte’s Web. it is rated G and perfect for the whole family.
We will not have chairs so if you come to the movie bring your beach/folding or bag chair.

It has some new pictures and events listed.

There is no need to make a reservation for blueberry picking.  Drop by the farm and say hello.
Remember to bring the smiles and cameras.

Cost for U-Pick blueberries is $5 per pint with the container included.

Farm Fresh blueberries can also be purchased at the farm by flat.
