No iPhone 5, Just an improved iPhone 4, iPhone 4S
Much to the dismay of many people and rumors, the iPhone 5 is apparently not being announced this morning. We will have to wait, according to various sources. We should see a much improved iPhone 4S coming in the next 10-15 minutes as Tim Cook takes the stage to bring us the new device.
So what does this mean for Sprint, who we read will be offering the iPhone?

The iPhone 4S, have no doubt will be much improved over the iPhone 4, and will be available on the Sprint network, if rumors are accurate.
It will include 1 gig of RAM and the new iPad 2 processor known as the A5.
An 8megapixel camera with new optics is also part of the new iPhone 4S.
But the main thing will be the new voice recognition system.
We will learn shortly, as the press is entering the hall at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, about 250 members of the media/press are there for this event.

We are also learning that the release/availability is Oct 14, 2011.

It is now a few minutes before 10am PST, and the Apple Store is down for updates.
