Annual Report–Hot off the Presses!
|
| Another year has passed and amazing things for cyclists have occurred in Los Angeles! We are pleased to present our 2010-2011 Annual Report to you. This Report includes information about this past year’s campaigns, community work, regional chapters, and a detailed financial summary.
The explosion of cycling culture in Los Angeles has been followed by a rapid growth in the advocacy movement. Many amazing things have happened this year in our community. In the City of LA, it was Ciclavia, the LA Bike Master Plan, the Anti-Harassment Ordinance, and the recent slew of bike lanes on 1st, 7th, and other streets. In Glendale, the Safe and Healthy Streets Plan was adopted this summer, with a bike blvd. on its heels. In other cities, we are winning better policies, bike plans, and support for people on bikes!
All of these wins for cyclists, which would have been unimaginable even five years ago, are a testament to the progress we have made in LA County. Additionally, LACBC is continuing to bring you more transparency about what we do, financially through our annual reports and communications-wise, through our campaign reports, and our new, detailed website overhaul.
In the report, you can peruse some of proudest accomplishments from 2010-2011, as well as our Financials and Donors/Supporters.
We would like to recognize all of our supporters, members, volunteers, and donors. Their time and generosity are a driving factor in our success. Our volunteers put in countless hours to ensure the completion of the Report. We look forward to the building on this momentum over the course of the next year!
