Dangerous Intersections in Pasadena, CA

Many residents in Pasadena wonder where the most dangerous intersections in Pasadena are located.

From having lived in Pasadena for over a decade and in the valley for my entire life and frequenting the Pasadena area I can tell you that one of the top most dangerous intersections is where Hill which travels North and South intersects with Orange Grove, Washington, 210 freeway on and off ramps, Colorado blvd.

I live near the Hill and Orange Grove intersection and on a pretty regular basis there will be an accident where a car tries to beat a changing light or is traveling way too fast south on Hill. There are countless sightings of cars traveling way over the 40mph speed limit. The limit which is already too high for this type of neighborhood. and traffic is only getting worse, not better.

At the 210 and Hill, you can sit there and watch cars racing to get on the freeway or off, and running lights. You rarely will see a police officer watching this intersection, not sure why, but the city could surely use the money and they would make a ton of it at this intersection from citations.

The amount of people running lights in Pasadena seems very high, not that it is much better in other cities, but part of the Police going out into the community should be to listen to residents and hearing complaints and recommendations about what can be improved.

Couple ideas for the city of Pasadena:
Put a couple officers at busy intersections like those at the 210 and Hill and Lake and watch cars run lights and drivers on the phone holding their phone to their ear, and not making emergency calls.
