Wine Making in La Crescenta Glendale Area Event Nov. 7, 2015

Celebrating One Hundred Years of the Stone Barn, the Le Mesnager Family and Viticulture in the La Crescenta /Canada Valley.

The Crescenta Valley played an important role in the wine making history of Southern California.

Join Stuart Byles, author of “Los Angeles Wine” as he discusses the early history of Deukmejian Wilderness Park and the Le Mesnager family that owned the property from the 1880’s until the late 1960s.

Learn about the historic Le Mesnager Barn, how it was used by the family, and the future. View some early wine making equipment and walk through the demonstration vineyard to learn about the grapes being grown and the planned expansion of this area.
