Urban Expeditions LA in July takes on Shakespeare
spacer (1K)

Beat the heat in July, and join C.I.C.L.E. for an evening Urban Expedition on Sunday, July 18.  Starting and ending in Griffith Park, this casual ride hovers between 5-6 miles and offers a great tour of this historical park before ending at the Old Zoo for a performance of one of Shakepeare’s masterpieces, Othello.  These free Shakespeare plays are offered by ISC or Independent Shakespeare Company, a non-profit working to inspire and create accessible theatre.  Since 2004, ISC has offered free summer performances and relocated just this year from Hollywood’s Barnsdall Art Park to Griffith Park.  A few things to note:  Pack a blanket, some treats and a light jacket for a cool breeze.  Also, be prepared-These performances can draw a crowd.
