Unique LA, Artisanal LA and Renegade Weekend Events Dec 11-12, 2010

1. Starting off with Unique LA:

{The Independent Design & Art Show}
Next Show: December 11+12, 2010

We thrive on individualism. We believe in community. And we love showing off local, independent designers and artists… Buying local rawks!

UNIQUE LA is an exciting two-day shopping event that showcases the best independent design talent in America, allowing shoppers to meet and buy from the designers directly! The largest independent design+art show in the USA, we feature over 300 hand-selected independent vendors all under one roof. You’ll find the best independent fashion, art, stationery, home accessories, edibles and more — making it easy to discover local design and avoid the mall. Woot-woot!

On top of the great shopping…
+ Make something! We offer free DIY workshops all day long, all weekend long.
+ We’ve got free drinks like beer, wine, IZZE and Honest Tea to keep you hydrated ‘n happy.
+ Our 2 cafe areas feature some of LA’s best gourmet food trucks, local bakeries & restaurants!
+ Each show we donate $1 for every attendee to a local non-profit. Partners have included 826LA, Create Now, GreenWish

{BUY LOCAL, SHOP UNIQUE}

There are two ways to attend UNIQUE LA: purchase pre-sale online tickets or come to the show and purchase tickets in the lobby of the California Market Center during the event.

Next Show: Dec 11th & 12th 2010, 11am – 6pm both days

Where: California Market Center’s Penthouse (110 E 9th St – Map It)

Cost: $10 at the door or in advance (kids 12 and under are free)
Parking

The way we see it, there are three options:

1. Most expensive, but most secure and convenient: The California Market Center (CMC) has a huge underground, secure parking lot. They offer a discounted rate of $6 for all-day parking during UNIQUE shows. The parking lot elevators take you right into the CMC lobby.
2. Affordable, nearby, but outdoors: There are many nearby outdoor parking lots that surround the building, often which run $3-5 for all-day parking.
3. Cheapest and most eco-friendly: The third option is to carpool, ride your bike, take the Metro, skate, or walk!

2. Artisanal LA right next door:
Browse, sample and shop from more than 30 of the city’s finest local artisans at our holiday pop-up shop… and snag some hot roasted chestnuts and a photo with Santa, too!

Downtown will be THE place for indie holiday shopping with UNIQUE LA and A CURRENT AFFAIR all the same weekend, on the same block. Park once and shop til you drop!
