The Algae Index

I received this from our friends at Origin Oil. Very interesting:

————————————————-
It’s true: there’s now an Algae Index.

You can’t trade it (yet), but that it even exists says something about an industry segment that was unknown when we started, way back in 2007…

You can view the Algae Index at WallStNation.com. It includes some still-small companies, along with Chevron and Royal Dutch Shell. Amazing!

Amazing and encouraging were some of President Obama’s first words yesterday:

“…each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet…
“We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories.”

Indeed we will. Last year, the renewable energy industry grew three times as fast as the U.S. economy, with sectors like ours leading the way, each with 25%-plus annual revenue growth.

New Energy will transform our economy and could add 30 million new jobs in the US alone over the next two decades. We are working very hard to deliver the technology that this New Energy needs now in the biofuels area. It’s an exciting time.

As always, we appreciate the strong support that helps us stay focused. By supporting us, you are doing something great, too.

Thank you!
